The State of Queensland – Department of Local Government, Planning, Sport and Recreation (2004). Let’s get moving. Brisbane: Sport and Recreation Queensland.

Let’s get moving was a Queensland State Government initiative designed to support pre-schoolers, their parents, carers and teachers in the development of basic active movement skills, that Louise was contracted to write. In this document, Louise reinforces the importance of movement for children and outlines different movement skills. Skills-based information is reinforced by spotlight cards and a movement based mat game, which are designed to highlight imaginative and challenging ways to get children moving. As an important part of the Let’s get moving resource, Louise also discusses the importance of relaxation for young children.
