Phillips, L.G (2010).  Social justice storytelling and young children’s active citizenship. Discourse: Studies in the cultural politics of education, 31(3), 363-376.

Louise brings into focus the ways that live storytelling set active citizenship in motion for a group of young children. Through discourse analysis, Louise identified enablers and constrainers of the children’s practice of citizenship. Possibilities to support the recognition of young children’s political identities and their capacity to act as communitarian citizens are proposed.
