The potential of storytelling as an educational tool is not fully realised in learning
contexts. Louise discusses storytelling as a vehicle for children to experience an
increased sense of community and literacy development, as well as enhancing
knowledge, memory recall and creative potential. She presents a program that she
designed for preschoolers and discusses the outcomes that emerged from their
responses to the stories that were told.
