Young children do care and want to do real things for the sustainability of Earth.
Children’s desires to be active citizens are clearly demonstrated in this chapter through evidence from two studies with young children. Louise shares possibilities for children’s participation in the sustainability of our planet and how entrenched social and political structures limit and control children’s participation. Implications for educators, policy makers and community workers are discussed.
